Copy and Monitor in Revit

After linking arch file in Revit to a mep project, we need to copy same levels at the arch file, to do that we use Collaborate tool/ Select Copy/ Monitor from the Ribbon

Notice at the Status Bar, the link disactive which means that it cannot be selected, to be capable of selecting it, click the white arrow to remove the red cross mark

red cross mark removed, now we can starting select the arch file, copy and monitor floors

from the ribbon, Collaborate- Copy/ Monitor

then select link

at the drawing area, hover over any level till a blue winow appears, it’s the link file then click just one time

after selecting the link, copy/ monitor tools appear

select copy

turn on the Multiple checkbox for selecting all floors at once

you can select many items at once by a cross box

or you can select level individual

at the status bar, notice the the number next to the filter icon refers to the five levels we’ve selected

checkup that you’ve selected the right items, click the blue filter icon at the option bar

then end the command by click the two finish buttons, the first button at the option bar

and the second is the big one at the contextual tab on the ribbon, providing tools relevant to the copy/monitor command
