Revit is a design and documentation platform that supports the design, drawings, and schedules required for building information modeling (BIM), and allows for coordination among all team members.
BIM is an integrated workflow built on coordinated, reliable information about a project from design through construction and into operation.
In the Revit model, every drawing sheet, 2D and 3D view, and schedule is a presentation of information from the same virtual building model.
After downloading Revit package from Autodesk site,
start following the next steps to install the program.
Double-click [Setup].
Setup dialog opens.
At the upper portion, you find software name and release,
Instruction language which is related to the selected language of the software,
And the [Install] button.
click Install,
at the lower portion, the software is searching for previous installation for that package to be isolated then adding the new files.
Revit MEP provides a ready templates for working but sometimes after installed the program you shocked for missing Templates which are not shown at the user interface.
If you were a user of Revit 2015, you might use an Autodesk Seek.
Autodesk Seek is a tool to search for product design content from AutoCAD® and Revit® products.
In 2017 release of Revit, the link to Autodesk Seek (seek.autodesk.com) now redirects to BIMobject.com.
BIMobject® Corporation provides free access to manufacturer-specific BIM objects.
First you need to download and install the BIMobject® App for Revit toolbar.
