🚀 Isometric Views in AutoCAD Plant 3D

From 3D Model to Annotated Isometric Drawings

🟢 AutoCAD Plant 3D is built with tools to help you create iso drawings, reports including the Bill of Materials (BOM) and piping component file (PCF). Before generating Isos, you may need to configure the style for piping isometric and spool drawing, and set the content destination for each.

📘 (1) Isometric Drawing Configuration

🟢 Open Project Setup: Expand Isometric DWG Settings and click Iso Style Setup to configure annotation and dimension styles.
🟢 Select Iso Style: Choose Check_ANSI-B style from the available options.
🟢 Annotation Control: You can control and specify how annotations, dimensions, and symbol scale are displayed in your Iso drawings. You can specify what items you want to be dimensioned and where you want them dimensioned to. You can also specify formatting for sloped lines, including falls, 2D offsets, and 3D offsets.

📘 (2) Creating Isometric Drawings

🟢 Quick Isos: Can be created from line numbers or by selecting objects in the 3D model.
🟢 Production Isos: Can be created from a line number or multiple lines, including BOM, Weld, and Cut Piece tables.
